Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

What Hammer Will Fall!?

Looks like the Vegas party is wrapping up. In 14 years with Lowes I have never not seen some department or position get whacked following these meetings. Who gets it in the next few weeks??

Why bother firing anyone at this point? Multiple tenured associates in my store have already quit, I'll be next. Very few people show up for the hiring events, even less taking the job. When spring hits I expect large numbers of associates to quit and they won't be able to replace them. This is the worst I have ever seen it.

I can't imagine trying to hire people and selling customer centric schedules. "Hey, how would you like a job with 6 weekends off a year? No?"

I am lmfao.... NO ONE is going to apply, and seasonal hires will be disastrous. We have an early spring here in the east, but without help in aisles and competent management, all is lost and will fail. Im gonna sit and watch it all burn.. lmao

My store has a sign out front with the hourly wage posted for the seasonal hires because it is just tough to hire people for part-time whose hours will be up and down. And of course they will be gone before they can file for unemployment.

They are all bobble heads anyway, not a brain between them
I’m off now to stick pins in the effigy, let’s see what that does

No way has 2393 stores, probably close to 1,700 since Marvin’s been carvin‘

Customers are leaving since they can’t get knowledgeable help in the aisles.

Some US stores need to close ,way too many 2394 in North America .Many stores in my area are super weak and slow .Also no need to have so many stores with online and direct same day delivery .It's just a matter of time .

Don’t know which one but it SHOULD be Human Resources. Its going to be very, very tough attracting talent to hire on for the spring staff-up.
