Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

How come I don’t get a bonus?

I’m a flooring csa. How’s it fair that I have to do all the hard labor, sell as much as a specialist, yet i don’t bonus $250 every two weeks. Our specialists won’t lift a finger to help. Time to look for another job

In my store sale specialists will sell anything even though they know it’s gonna get returned or it’s totally wrong for the customer, or won’t fit, or any other reason. Lie,lie, lie. They don’t care because that way they get credit for the sale. But then the rest of us have to put all that returned stuff away or RTM it or or find space for all the damaged merchandise or listen to the customers complain in the garbage end of it. Why don’t I get compensated for all that extra work and customer nastiness ?

Specialists aren’t paid to zone and do what you are hired to do. Stay in your lane

$250 every 2 weeks bonus???

What are you smoking?

I'm a specialist, and with Lowe's fuzzy math, your lucky to get a bonus once a year. When I started, we made bonus every quarter.

Apply for a specialist position then. If you aren't a complete mo–n and the management team is aware you are good with customers and have been with the store for more than a couple months you will generally get the position.

First of all there is NO company wide incentive policy at this time. Period. Supposedly Lowe's did try an "Incentive Pilot" program in a very limited number of stores (NOT COMPANY WIDE) for what I understand was a one month trial period (January 2020). For each specialist position, a unique SPH (Sales Per Hour) was designated based on your store gross sales tier AND each department. Not only did the specialist personally have to meet or exceed that SPH number but the entire department also had to hit at least 97% of target in order to qualify. And it was $250 per month, not per pay period. To get the additional $250 you had to hit an even higher SPH. Good luck with that since some departments like Appliances are battling HUGE company wide inventory issues which are having major impact on our sales.

So unlike how you are representing it, you can't just sit on you a– and collect money. Additionally you can bust your a– and if the rest of the department coasts you get nothing. Also they no longer qualify for any quarterly bonuses. Company reserves the right to resend or modify the program at any time and without notice. None of us have any clue if this, or any version of it, will ever be rolled out company wide. Zero communication. No surprise there. Any way you slice it it is just a drop in the bucket to what we old timers use to make before commissions were removed. Back then if you busted your a– you reaped financial rewards, if you didn't you got nothing. Lowe's changed all that when they reigned on the commission program, then offered us an olive branch by replacing it with a 50 cents on a dollar "Allowance" but then reigned on that at the start of this fiscal year. This is yet another potential olive branch from what is rapidly becoming a POS company that can't be trusted to keep it's word. You mean absolutely NOTHING to them. Stay on at you own risk. If you still have any gripes then do your time and apply for a specialist position if you think its that easy but be careful what you wish for.

Now you can understand how the slaves who were brought from Africa felt decades ago, as well as the poor who work like animals in poor foreign countries.
The rich keep getting richer, the poor get poorer, and soon the middle class will join the poor. Welcome to America.
