Lol on bordens and deans... go way back and read who bought bordens...IT WAS 3 GUYS WHO USE TO WORK FOR SUIZA! cause the doj wouldn't approve df purchase of bordens....so illegal!
No it wasn't about money that was owed. Both companies are in bankruptcy. They have to go through the courts if one owed money to the other.
Do we even really know what that meeting was about? Monies are owed....hmmmm couldn't possibly be about that
But it said that the meeting "amounted to nothing more than unrealistic musings of a possible combination."
Good Lord those Borden suits must have been sitting across the table listening in total disbelief to the Dean suits babbling on about a sale/merger.
Looks like that DFA deal isn't going to happen if corporate wanted a meeting with bordens.
Oh yeah. Bordens 3000 employees and 12 plants would readily absorb Dean's 16000 employees and 50 plants. How stupid is corporate?
From the article:
"Borden says it had a 30-minute meeting after Dean and its advisers made repeated requests to meet."
I'd interpret that as our Company is getting desperate to find a buyer and Borden only agreed to meet after some pleading and then rushed through the meeting as quickly as possible.
Just reinforces the belief that Chapter 7 is coming soon.
Well put !!
Read the full article, and if you have any comprehension skills, Borden which is itself bankrupt, said no to Deans. That means, a disabled said no to a leper as suitor, get it?
