Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Socialism, fascism, fear

Does anyone else feel like you are being told what to do instead of being motivated to do what’s right?

Everyday I hear about being fired from Corp people who probably won’t have a job in 3 months.

Do we just spin? This fear based conquering, demands a better ceo who has not been consumed by socialist visions. Checking boxes doesn’t make productivity. Layers of malarkey make high achievers leave.

Lowe's is socialist? You clearly have no clue what you're talking about. You must be from corporate.

Yes. There is no management by Lowes. No reason, logic, or conceptual processes. Management is non-existent. Actually, detrimental.

Our store with its managaer conceived concentric schedule had every PRO personel transferred to building materials on Weds, Thurs, and Fri and not one manager knew why, or resolved it. So contractors had NO help at all for 60% of this week. Good job!

Enjoy Vegas locusts.

So much for the IMPOTUS tax break and 5he theory 5hat would result in corporations paying significantly less taxes would compensate and hire employees

Marvin is greedy. All he cares about is his own agenda. He's leading a bunch of sheep to the slauter house. I work on the one task unit. We are told we only need 4 full time people. Thus this store is a 50 million dollar store.

A younger associate should definitely be looking elsewhere. There is no future there. Creating your own path to success within a retail environment died when commissions went by the wayside Now the only avenue is to opt into management which of course is not for everyone. Even at that you're likely to not reach beyond middle management level and those people get treated like absolute shyte . Many of us who are close to retirement will probably milk the remainder for everything we can. Multiple weeks of vacation and maximizing the amount of sick days (needed or not) and basically using every possible perk, as few as there may be, to your advantage. Some of us have too much to lose to start over but the young should aggressively pursue a real job.

Any of you Lowe’s Employees been in an HD in the last few weeks. 2020, 100 days of Spring! Updated Garden Center is all self checkout except 1. Customer Service Desk Gone. Returns only. More self check outs. Large Pro Desk Gone! Less employees more Tech. Never calls out, never whines and does not slack. HD stock $242.00. Lowe’s will follow. It is all nonsense that these retailers are hiring thousands.

Nobody is forcing you to work at Lowe’s. If you stay, it is on you. Quite whining. Plenty of better jobs in this great economy. Get up off your rear and look. Get a plan together and act. Lowe’s does not rate even as a McJob! BTW pays more.

Predatory Capitalism, not Socialism.

I suggest you look up the definition of socialism. What Marv is doing is dictatorship.

The unemployment rate is so low that anyone who wants a job has one. Every place I pass is hiring. Lowe’s is throwing employees out like cold coffee. It is just stupid. Marvin is stupid. You be smart. Being employed is the bargaining chip that gets you higher pay in your new position.
The only certain position at Lowe’s is bent over and taking one for the “team”.
