The End of MIP

My opinion only... MIP will be gone in a few years... The RSU changing to one year was the very first step in the process…

After MIP ends, the management wants no additional burdens…

40% was step 2, they will finish this off with MIP being the last step.

The Wall Street can't stomach MIP.

The bulk of the cash should go to investors, right now it’s being conveniently milked by our greedy Management.

Don’t get me wrong, this was initially a very good incentive for a private company – however, things change and if you calculate in the impact of the investors and the Wall Street analysts – this is not a good thing…

Management is anything but greedy. We work a crazy, unbeilable number of hours and are paid less than the people who for them (in the case of drivers). MIP IS WHY THEY DO. Take that away and see how fast things go south. With pension going to a 401k, if there is no MIP most good people are going to go somewhere else. You get what you pay for.

You are are right, MIP will be phased out with in 2 years. UPS needs to have another VRP for operations management. They have already cut how vacations are given to management employees . There are no advantages to being in management at UPS. Example. Hourly employees get overtime pay-management don't, hourly don't pay for benefits- management pays for their benefits, hourly earn their vacation based on previous last year hours worked-management earn their vacation in the current year. Example a 25 years driver who retires on jan 2 will be paid 6 weeks vacation, a management employee with 25 years of service that retires on jan 2 will be paid 0
