HEY ALL
Is it true majority of the employees here are waiting to be RIF to get the severance package? Especially those who have worked there more than 10 years?

It's really very sad. Everyone in my service center is stressed and the morale is low. Some are waiting for their STI''s and have one foot out the door. It's such a shame because friends in the industry outside of AIG know how toxic the company is. It's no secret anymore as to what is happening and how low the morale is. It gets more stressful and toxic everyday.
Yes it's true
I think they are hoping employees will leave. They should ask for volunteers in areas where they are looking to cut and let those employees go. Then they would keep the ones that really want to be here. There are so many employees that are just hoping to get RIF'd,
PZ and JR love to RIF people, they don’t want people to leave. RIFing people and riding in the Corp jet is the only thing mgmt is good at. Otherwise it would be a good idea to pay Bonus in Jan
The morale here is toxic. Everyone is burnt out. Waiting to get RIF'd or looking for another job. They have lost so much talented employees. It's really sad. They should pay the STI in Jan., and then more people would leave without them having to RIF.
It’s a real shame what’s happening to this company. Too much greed, too much finger pointing, too many silo’s and too many consultants running around saying what we already know.
You spend months ‘training’ the new mgmt on how things work and they either leave or get let go and you start again.
I was one of the lucky ones. I got Rif’d at the start of the year and it took only 3 weeks to find a better paying job doing essentially the same thing..!
Take my experience, I got offered to leave in 2016 but decided to stay and take on a role supporting another country. Worst decision I made. Spent two years treading water career wise.
There is life out there....stick with it if a package is likely. If not, it’s your call on your career...
As we approach the STI bread line it is prime RIF season. So the wait won’t be long.
I can't wait to be RIF'd either. This company is on a downward spiral, except for Senior Management where they will continue to hire more execs.
I can’t wait to get RIFed!!
Earning report on Feb 13th Stock at $52.34. Very sad. Does anyone have a feeling on how the numbers will look. Pete, Brain?
I want a free ride on the jet if I am RIFed!!
Yep...and just sitting here playing on phone due to no work! Let's go!
I was RIF'd 6 months ago. Looking to get another job with AIG so I can be Rif'd again and again and again.
Yes. Management is incompetant. It's a revolving door where consulting company fatcats come in with their buddies and then spend millions on buying more consultants to tell them what to do. If we need consultants to tell management how to run AIG, then why do we need management, except to give cushy jobs to their friends who make bank and do absolutely nothing?
Many of what I consider high performers will leave in April after STI, especially in IT. Friends there indicate as toxic a culture as anywhere I've witnessed. This company will fail unless the culture changes, and fast. No wonder so many younger folks want to get out after a short tenure.
Work, Work, Work-get the stock up!!
I would have to say yes. I am waiting to get RIF'd
Yes, because of new management is terrible.
