Time for Wirthless to takes his extraordinary unreasonable compensation package, excessive write downs and bearish talk on future oil prices and go.

Gotta love CVX management they def know how to buy high and sell low
Imagine a look forward world today without Gorgon and Wheatstone, significantly less deep water production and a smaller Permian Land footprint. That would be our world without the contributions of Kirkland. I guess we could have sold all these assets as the ROCE would have been amazing.
George Kirkland actually can be blamed for a lot of the issues CVX faces now
I hope the company wises up to the fact that we can longer be playing around with liberal social issues and continue ignoring the damage it’s doing to itself by hiring, promoting and keeping the wrong people in place. Chevron is an oil and gas company. When the layoffs begin, we need to get rid of all the unproductive personnel, as well as the social liberal types within who continue to weaken our company.
Winning
Chevron won't and should not wait until October to do layoffs. That would be another 9 months of minimal productivity and likely the same time to bounce back. I am confident Chevron management is aware of the urgency to do whats needed and believe they will find a way to do it quickly and the right way so the company does not have the same pain and recovery time as its 2016 event which was well chronicled on the site. Chevron employees work for stockholders and improving margins is essential. The CEO is trying to save the company from extinction which will absolutely occur if he does not execute what needs to be done quickly and improve margins. Don't blame a guy for doing what should have been done a long time ago. Based on this site there are too many of you the don't want to be at Chevron so leave. For the rest of you it is time to get on the train if you want your true stock value and layoffs are needed..
One knew it would be bad when they raised the dividend by 8%. Wirth needs to go, we can’t afford to keep going like this!
Instead of hunkering down which the Street would understand they instead raise dividend...wirth didn't want to be first CEO to break streak
More layoffs will come before he is gone, wait for it, +5000 headcount reduction by October.
