Elliott management corporation is the majority debt holder. They also own the majority of WIN debt too. They are also in ch 11 just like we are going to be. Their plan is to combine and spin off assets into a new carrier / company. The new ILEC portion of the company will no longer have to support the existing union contracts on either side.

It's going to get ALOT worse before things get better. The next year is going to be really rough for both
employees and customers.

Century Link could make a play for California, it would LINK Fiber across Nevada, Arizona and California which could benefit them long term. They would drop TV service on California and go Data/Voice only. Century could buy California for less then a Billion.

I do believe Verizon with the amount of fiber Frontier has in place remember , Verizon created Frontier : read the history ::Frontier Communications ILEC Holdings, Inc. is a company created by Verizon Communications in 2009.

History
The company, sold to Frontier Communications on July 1, 2010, serves as a holding company for former Bell System, Contel, and GTE telephone operating companies that were owned by Verizon prior to July 1, 2010. The company was set up to allow for a Reverse Morris Trust merger, allowing Verizon to spin-off the company to Frontier tax-free. Its primary purpose was to transfer Frontier ILEC Holdings as well as Verizon debt that Frontier was to assume.

Once the purchase was completed, the relevant subsidiary company names were changed to reflect Frontier ownership.[1]

Frontier will try to sell... but no one is dumb enough to bite. It’s kind of like that old POS el Camino that Cletus drives. Band aids and duct tape holding the thing together. I’m sure those “IBEW strong” stickers will hold the cracks in the windshield. I could only hope that someone buys the sinking ship. Oh and that Cletus decides to park his fat a– somewhere other than one of our cross box’s.
