Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

full time employees not needed.

I made the right decision July 2019, I took a leave of absence for three months from Lowes, While finally I left after Lowes said no more weekends off. you will get 2-4 weekends off per year, maybe. Wow as of today 01-29-2020, more full-time employees jobs eliminated. No more specialist in their field of expertise. I made the right decision to more on to a better and full-time position.

Me too. I left three years ago when I saw all of this coming right at the end of the Niblock era and moved into a sales position with a small flooring company. No more nights, weekends, and off all major holidays. I get to work in a professional environment where there is mutual trust and a real, family-type atmosphere and stress factor basically at zero.

Rest assured that there ARE better full-time positions out there, and they aren’t necessarily in office work or government jobs. You just have to go out there and find them.

If you want an office job (no weekends) get an office job. Most home improvement projects are done on the weekends so it makes sense to have Lowe’s associates work weekends.

1 weekend every 8 weeks divided by 52 weeks in a year rounds down to SIX weekends, not 2-4. It's bad enough that you don't need to embellish it, least of all to fellow employees and former employees who almost certainly smell your BS the second they read it.
