GM is a vehicle company. They have no business babysitting the city of Detroit. The city must compete, and not be looking for hand outs from all governments for the past 55 years. You can shove your 2008-9 bailout breath, as fuel prices, interest rates, and Federal government war activities in the Middle East flamed this action.

The fact Mary and her useless CFO are still there is mind blowing.

FCA is on fire and only gaining momentum. Telsa's market cap could devour two automotive entities at once, if they ever offered anything of value. Makes the others seem irrelevant. However, GM has to go way of EV and AV mass transit, because their alienating the core base that purchases their vehicles. Whether through alienated customers, or alienated former employees (whom share their unemployment stories (as feeling jaded) with friends and family), it's no wonder GM is turning off customers one at a time, year over year, decade over decade. People don't forget.

They are becoming the Kmart of the automotive sector - irrelevant. They have no choice but to go mass transit, whom their customers are not, individual consumers.
