2021 Vacation Buyout for Craft employees.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF FIREMEN & OILERS (NCF&O), BROTHERHOOD
OF RAILWAY CARMEN (BRC), INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF
MACHINISTS AND AEROSPACE WORKERS (IAM), INTERNATIONSL
BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS (IBEW), SHEET METAL WORKERS
INTERNATIONS ASSOCIATION, OR THE AMERICAN RAILWAY AND AIRWAY
SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION (ARASA)
In view of the current business operations, the Company is willing to waive vacation
qualifying requirements for 2021 for employees in active service represented by the
crafts above, subject to the following provisions:

  1. The employee must indicate, by written application, his or her willingness to

terminate employment, and leave Company service, no later than February 12,
2020

  1. The employee’s written application must be made between January 21, 2020 and

noon on February 1, 2020.

  1. The employee must be in active service during the application period and remain

active throughout the period immediately prior to the resignation date. Moreover,
the employee must be eligible for vacation in fiscal year 2020.

  1. The Company will review written applications and inform the applicant

employees of approval or denial for participation by 5:00 P.M. on February 5,

  1. The Company reserves the right to determine the number of applicants

allowed to participate, and to determine when those employees are released.

  1. Employees who elect to participate in this program will not be allowed to rescind

their application once submitted.
Applications in writing for this program must be furnished to your local chairperson, and
to:

  1. Your immediate manager
  2. Your local chairman
  3. Mechanical Department at MechVacWaivers@up.com

Some douche told me that this program was designed for people that are retiring and waiting to get their 100 days. I told him to reread it. Now he says it's a misunderstanding and that it's not an incentive to quit. West colton management for you...

And if you sigh the waiver and are denied your vacation pay for next year you still have to quit the clause also states you can't back out once signed so they got you either way

Take the money if you can retire boys and girls, it's a wrap. ARASA Supervisors are gone as soon as April 1st. Or you can call it April fool's day for supervisor.500 jobs abolish and 300 new manager jobs will be in those position. Only 2500 more jobs to get choppy

We only want people to quit were we want them too because the vacation costs less than if we have to pay healthcare when you get furloughed

REQUEST FOR WAIVER OF VACATION QUALIFICATION
AND RESIGNATION OF EMPLOYMENT
In accordance with the January 20, 2020 notice posted, I am here by submitting my
application indicating my willingness to terminate employment by no later than February
12, 2020, and accepting payment in lieu for my 2021 vacation.
In this application, I understand that I must be in active service immediately prior to my
resignation date in order to receive payment in lieu for my 2021 vacation.
I also agree that I am currently in active service at Union Pacific Railroad Company in a
position represented by either the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen (BRC), International
Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), National Conference of
Fireman & Oilers (NCF&O), International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW),
Sheet Metal Workers (SMW) or the American Railway and Airway Supervisors
Association (ARASA).
I also understand that the Company reserves the right to deny my application and/or
approve my date of resignation.
