How many more of "layoffs here" or "layoffs there" announcements do we have to go through before we can finally relax? No matter where they say they are cutting people, it seems that they always use the opportunity to get rid of a few people in other locations as well.
This much stress is not good for any of us. I really need this to be over.
I started with Emerson in 2014 and starting in 2015 it's pretty much been non-stop layoffs. There were a couple of decent years and the attitude was spend money like there's no tomorrow, but this year it was, "We overstaffed and overestimated our growth," and it was back to layoffs. I have concluded layoffs are about the only thing to expect with Emerson. Unfortunately, in most jobs, pay has not been increased to reflect the increased amount of risk someone takes being employed by Emerson.
