Thread regarding Baker Hughes layoffs

If not paying off staff just leaving it's so bad now

Baker need to sort this out , we have now lost 8 members of staff the last 3 months in our office alone in Aberdeen all with over 15 years experience each due to being treated like utter sxxt by management and the company.
We then replace them with graduates or inexperienced staff and wonder why we have no work.
Our department was 22 strong 5 years ago now we have 5 and 3 have less than 5 years experience it's a joke what's happening.
Are all the other offices this bad or just Aberdeen ?

Why do you still work for these clowns?
8 years ago I left as the company was chaging then and becoming the joke it is now.
I make 5 times the money at home every day with my family.
No bell exd managers who have no idea what there doing.

Dont need to go near Aberdoom the most depressing and horrible city I have ever had to visit

100% know every day I wont get a pay cut, lose my pension, lose my job or have to listen to inexperienced staff trying to plan and tell me jobs they dont even understand.

Place has such a bad reputation now it makes me laugh every time I come on here to see the circus at work

Even guyswith 20 yrs experience don’t know what they’re doing. Look at the mess they made in stoneywood. That’s why they got fired.

The problem is not tech its learning from guys with 20 years experience on how things actually work, the amount of business we lose becase engineers with 3 degrees are making stupid basic mistakes becase they think there clever is ridiculous.
The jobs we get kicked off from becase they have no understanding of how rigs work how to save time , pick up tools , planning or how rigs work is shocking.
You go on about old school but 6 years ago we had 25 offshore guys in our department all doing over 200 days a year work.
Now we have 5 doing 140.

Weatherford have 22 in Aberdeen in the same department all doing 80% time away ,
we are not moving forward as dont have the staff or experience to get the work.

Sure, there are a lot of new tech savvy young people in this company, but a lot of ones I see cannot carry on much of a conversation with anyone, much less a customer, and don't know how to forge relationships with customers. They know how to use an Iphone but thats not enough. They also don't seem well-schooled in some of the basics of the petroleum industry.
