Any thoughts?
Long Island is not a broadcast center.HBO left because it made sense..NOC does not make sense. . Just the satellite there is a huge savings .The TOP head there at the NOC was cut. Expect the SITE to die .
The people at the NOC built legacy and job security. The reign there is over!
I heard they are very interested in the HBO operations center recently vacated in Hauppauge Long Island. Basically a newly renovated building that can fit a lot and relatively cheap since nobody wants it. Plus it’s next door to the current Viacom NOC and down the block from where Shotime broadcasts from.
Maybe the'll move CBS Broacasting to the Viacom Studios, 345 Hudson St in SOHO, but that's an old building too and Google is slowly taking it over ... they need a new building for both Viacom and CBS Studios
Studio Center could be next
A pity, that building was designed in 1965 by Eeero Saarinen.
Netflix should buy the building to establish their NYC headquarters (buyers market)
Netflix should rent some hardworking ViacomCBS employees who are being flushed by Bob Bakish
To the people reading this who feel like they are washed up, remember you are only being eliminated so Bob can pay out ridiculous executive compensation packages to his buddies. So do not despair, you may be a little washed up but nothing pales in comparison to the truly broken leadership at ViacomCBS.
Now we are free
Never been but heard it’s dated. Any ideas what the plans will be after the sale? Who and what goes where?
About time...this place is a mess!
