There are representatives in congress that have been championing for years as to how the "system" is stacked favorably for the 1% and unfavorably for everyone else. Some of them are running for president right now. Pisses me off that the large Lowe's stockholders and their pressure for a higher stock price and/or dividends appears to be the major steering force for Lowe’s corporate and often comes at the expense of our employees and customers. Let’s not forget corporate has already closed over 150 stores and laid off tens of thousands of workers. It's painfully obvious at this point that to corporate the large stockholders are our most important customer.

It's the people at the store (and internet) level that are bringing in the money that actually allows any company to exist yet the large stockholders (many of which have never put so much as $1 into a cash register drawer) are the recipients of most of the profits. Combine that with corporate doing massive stock buybacks further reduces any trickle down profits from the employees. God forbid Lowe’s give your employees anything but marginal cost of living pay increases (if even that). In the case of the Allowance elimination Lowe’s is actually taking money away from the employees (for a second time I should note), many of which have been with Lowe’s longer than our corporate leaders have even been in the home improvement industry. Ditto on all the third party job outsourcing, job title and pay grade changes. The only reason I am staying at this point is in case someone does start a class action lawsuit so I can be part of it. Couldn't care a less if I receive even one cent as a result of any lawsuit but would do it for the media exposure to show just how uncaring Lowe's corporate has become towards their long term employees.

Not sure if your congressman can do much but anything to bring attention to what they are doing is good. Not sure if you can change it but people should know what is going on I like contacting local news and social media. Spread the word!
Hey Marvin you're a phony

Buy 51% of the stock and turn it into a coop. Otherwise you're wasting your time.

What on earth can a congressman do regarding the decisions that a fortune 50 company makes?! This is a stupid premise.

Resistance is futile. Nothing you do will change the loss of the spiff allowance. I’m sure a class action lawsuit is in the works. You’ll get a small settlement that’s about it. I personally don’t like it but it is what it is.

Tell them of the changes and the effect on you and your family and of the lies. Work to get attention brought to what Lowes is doing the only possible chance there is of changing this is by embarrassing them by shining a light on their actions if they are ashamed and embarrassed by their actions they shouldn’t have done them.

It's pretty enlightening when you watch this video (link below). It starts off talking about poor morale at Lowe's, but then the conversation turns to validate what is happening.

Pretty much, the main office doesn't care how much you know or how long you've worked there, "a monkey could do your job".

But what do we say to them when we call? This is a legit question, I'm worried about my job and so are MANY coworkers.

I'm 100% serious, this company is and has been changing and NOT for the betterment of it employees. The elites at corporate continues to revamp operations to chase and emulate the Orange box across the street. Corporate continues to say they are interested in our concerns and yearly force the EOS on the Store employees, only to side step and ignore the results when it doesn't like what responses it sees. Corporate instead insults and berates employees by rolling out programs telling employees to"confront our biases...", while corporate champions themselves by announcing diversity hires at the corporate level and pat themselves on their backs. They immediately follow this up by announcing positions are being eliminated with little notice, the effected personnel are given options of acceptance of new positions with the strict understanding pay is being capped for those graciously allowed to stay with the company. They then implement a new schedule algorithm to "better meet customer demand..", said program continues to have to be manually adjusted as employees are continually scheduled opposite normal customer traffic times. Customers continue to get upset by these changes the company has embraced.

I could go on
