Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

I have done both, office and field. Both have my respect, neither is easy, office has lots of drama behind the scenes and stress and field has a physical toll with lack of sleep. Office is very boring and field can be fun. Pros and cons. Anyways the rumor is that they will base the layoffs on who remotes the most and who is actually needed to get the job done in the Northbelt campus.

Poor in the closet boomer. The real money is in the field. And I do laugh at your tiny house. Hell my fishing is bigger than that and my hunting stand is half that size!

Slapping together 3 double wides in your field camp doesn’t mean it’s one dwelling. Ya I guess being a walmart shelf stocker is easy to find if you have nothing beyond a middle school education. Meanwhile those in the office with 1 or more college degrees will find another job most likely making more than they do now within a few weeks. But sure, monkey turn wrench real good. Yep, but monkeys don’t have a hard time finding other employment. It is the comfy office id–ts who only fit in at Halliburton and can’t fit in or find work outside of the red office bubble. And the 10,000 who put the manual together? They can’t find a pot to pee in after they’re cut from their job. Remember, your safety office bubble is only good at Halliburton. You cannot find anything anywhere else once all the cuts start in Houston... The monkeys though, they’ll take that CDL and find a 100k job easy. You field hands do literally nothing except finish the work that about 10,000 people before you prepared by following the manual that’s written for you. You are the monkeys clanking the cymbals together, the p–per scoopers. Why do you think you all get kicked to the curb while the office people are generally untouched? Because a trained monkey could do your jobs, that’s why. You are a dime a dozen.

Yeah I noticed too that in Houston they have a disinfectant crew cleaning and banned pooled vehicles and instituted the 6' rule. Yet here in camps we still fill up a crew van twice a day per crew and the only disinfecting being done is by a couple of us hands who don't want to bring anything back home with us.

When has Halliburton truly cared about employee health. All the healthy employees junk was done for publicity. At field camps, do you think they get the privilege of working from Home during this time? Shut your mouth and either go to work like a revenue earning employee or stay home. Management will work around you.

HAL should impose mandatory work at home for those at risk, elderly and those with underlying health conditions

Why are you using vacation and sick days when management already supports remoting in?

You are apparently not an employee at this location as you seem to lack certain information that an employee from this location would know. I am not going to fill in that information for you in case this is a fishing expedition.
