I work in pro services and they only care about our numbers in credit being the highest out of all the other stores. That's it. They don't care about actually servicing the customers and making sure theirs actual product on the shelves. I'm also tired of having to annoy the customers to open up credit or take advantage of some senile old guy or some poor schmuck that is desperate. I think it's unethical.

Lowe’s credit cards, when used responsibly, can be a great thing for customers. I bought a huge installed project from the company several years ago and being able to finance it on a LCC was THE reason that I bought it from Lowes. Instead of assuming that it is a ‘bad deal’ for the customer, simply make it available to them and let THEM make the decision on whether it is right for them or not.
So very true.
Lowe's forces us to subordinate our primary responsibilities (customer service for one) with unethical dictates like 10 new CC's per week.
Unethical because deliveries are broken, so we are being forced to push a program KNOWING we cannot serve the customer.
A smart person could Sue and win easily. Hostile work environment. Unethical business practices.
One store in district is told they have to get a cc per week. Then we told 5. Unfair.
The stores in our market were giving a roll of toilet paper to those that signed up for a Lowe's credit card this weekend. No lie! I thought it was tacky.
Lowes credit is a scam. And it is borderline unethical. But why would you expect anything less from the clowns running this enterprise? Its Sears 2.0.
That’s why I don’t push the credit card or lease to own or any of that stuff they come up with.
It’s interesting that they hound me about it and leave the other associate in my department alone. I get about one a week, they want one a day, she gets none, she will for months between credit apps.
I joined Lowe's a little over 17 years ago, have exactly 3 LCC's in that time.
Will not push any of our programs that seem to take advantage of the customers.
