So I felt unwell yesterday and decided to call out and apply my PPTO to my missed shift. I must've only had 7.5 to apply to my 8. I still caught a half point today. My manager is a flunk who avoids conversation w associates. Any ideas how I fight this .5 point? It was only after that I'd seen the notice of updated policy after I'd called off. So it is in effect. Why did I catch half point?

Wrong they will waive occurrences
No, they are mot approving all occurrences. New policy only covers Covid 19.

No the policy was updated the next day after the first policy that stores can still point you. So the op didn't have enough points to cover full shift, so half a point. The excused points are only for covid 19 self quarantine which has to be for 14 day and SM aporoved. Any stores that are excusing days here or there are just being nice as it's no longer HO policy.
Maybe they need to manually go in and approve the occurance? I’m not sure how this new policy works but it sounds like they are approving all of them. I assume with it being the weekend and everything being crazy with the coronavirus they just haven’t had a chance too.
