Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Other major retailers closing earlier.

It looks like walmart and other major retailers are closing early during covid19 to clean and replenish stores for safety including walmart. Is lowes doing this or its competitors f— no. They are too good and greedy to take precautions at the very least. Lowes is a piece of sh– company.

With today’s technology corporate employees should be working from home! Lowe’s should be helping prevent the spread of this pandemic, but no they have an outdated mindset. Shame on you Lowe’s! An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.....

At my store the cashiers bought Lysol wipes that they keep in their lockers since they paid for them. Our restrooms are being mopped, same dirty water being used in all. As for sanitizing and cleaning multiple times a day that isn’t happening.

If you’re not hearing anything about cleaning then your leadership isn’t telling you what’s supposed to be happening. Extra cleaning supplies, disinfecting kits, etc being put together and shipped to all stores. A requirement for certain areas of the store to have extra cleaning done multiple times a day. These are all things that were communicated to store leadership and should be communicated to the store from there.

Walmart and stores like that are under different regulations than Lowe’s. They have food, a pharmacy etc. But still doesn’t excuse Lowe’s for not helping us out. There’s been no discussion about cleaning. I keep seeing things on the news that we’re doing that, but its not happening. We are totally exposed. Shareholders think that we have a plan. If only anyone knew what it was....

Looks like the overnight crew had a meeting about cleaning staying 6 ft apart ect. Lowes will not be closing early. The truth of the matter is this whole virus thing is blown out if proportion and possibly fake. Lowes is smart enough to realize this. They will not lose revenue over people's stupidity regardless if we are in a state of emergency. Lowes does not care they are here to make money regardless of environmental factors that may be going on.

Walmart is literally changing their hours to basically the exact same as we run, then closing and leaving their overnight team there to put the store back together. It’s funny to read everyone praising them for doing this, yet bashing Lowe’s for running the exact same program Walmart changed to for this. There’s no winning with some folks.

They should layoff (w/pay) non-essential workers per store at the very least..ex (MST Team, RTM , Assembly). Less chance for them to contract and soread the virus throughout the entire store....it will cost them more if these folks get sick first....it will infect the whole store (stores) then we're talking closings....they're playing a game of chance with no leadership.

Lowes would throw you into a AID's infected needle pit if it meant that they saved a nickel. They don't care about you...
