Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Kronos is clueless

Apparently Kronos is clueless about a few things the first being daylight savings time. All last week it scheduled all my closing shifts until ten. Closing manager insists I stay until 11 “because that’s what we do.” Since I was planning on leaving at 10 all my work is done. But I have to stay until 11. So Three hours of OT.

Today is my 4 hour day, I’m scheduled 5 to 9. The only often person in the department is the young kid who was there 6 to 3 who left at 2 because there wasn’t enough coverage for him to get a lunch.

Tomorrow, Sunday, is not much better. We have an associate in at 7, another in at 8, the department supervisor in at 9. Since the department supervisor won’t close the department, it’s beneath him, there will be no one in the department after 5.

At my store it is expected that you work in your department no matter where Kronos schedules you.

This is how we end up with no one on the floor and an over abundance of cashiers on the front end.

I agree 100%. They can't write you up for following your schedule. They can write you up for the OT though as there is no proof he told you to stay.

The BEST thing you can do for yourself, is work and do EXACTLY as you are scheduled. For example, print your schedule and work it to the T! Kronos is so bad, its been transferring me all over so I leave and go there. Let your numbers crash and dept fail because hey.. its what Lowe's is telling you to do.

Same goes for managers direction. If they task you away, do it all day long and let it all fail then email before you leave saying "just an heads up but I completed that task you assigned me in aisle 15 but please be aware I was away from my dept all day."

Force the issue. Be shrewd.
