At least we are not fighting wars protecting Saudi Oil - now we are protecting ourselves fighting invisible bat viruses. May the cleanest and loneliest thrive.
What needs to happen? When I started for Halliburton. Is was run by Field Management. Now it’s accounts at the helm. When they took over it’s been a roller coaster ride. When things are good hire more than needed. When it’s down lay-off more than needed. Looks good in the books. They still get a bone us.
At this point I suppose a merger with TechnipFMC out of survival aint looking so bad.
But most of all I wish the Saudis woukd go broke by opening the choke.
I wish I could get the CVA from 2019 that we got F'ed out of.
It’s simple - less is more.
Eliminate jobs that are not creating profit. Journey MGT, dispatch, time keepers, facilities, hot shotters, bin loaders, pool drivers to start.
Everyone in field can do it all. Service Leaders and Coordinators can do the rest.
We don’t need managers having meetings to prepare for meeting.
I mean the layoffs have been going on for 4 years so its not really a shock. as far as what needs to happen- find a CEO who actually knows how to run the company. Jeff is using a playbook that is 6 years out of date. Fire EH president and get someone from Mckinsey in there who actually knows something about business (the future is international). Cut the region mgmt completely- CM to report to the PSL's. Hal has a bunch of waste they have to finally man up and get rid of.
If they are going to do layoffs, lay us off already! Why wait for us to get contagious with that damn virus then lay off?
