Pro Services. It has become a joke. Micromanaged to death with unrealistic goals. High turnover in both the specialist and department manager positions . No credit for retail sales at all (and they are the customers that consume a lot of time). You are only as good as your last weeks sales, then it’s “what have you got for me now?” Understaffed Building Materials Departments that pull us away to help load the retail customers. Panel saw constantly needing attended to. Over worked Pro Loaders who constantly are used in building materials. Never, I repeat NEVER enough cashiers, so guess who helps? It is a debacle. I think is designed to drive out long time pro employees. They can be proud of themselves because it seems to be working.

Nationwide, Pro staffing is either quitting, requesting transfers, or demoting themselves. My Pro dept has one PSS. ONE! While neighboring stores who make 15 mill less per year have 4!
Lowe's is so backwards, unrealistic, and clownish.

Corporate keeps pushing pro, and admitting its where the most potential is, and the dept so far in 2020 boosting the company. Simultaneously, they see and allow under-staffing, and tasking away from Pro. They see us unloading trucks, and no one at Pro desks and do NOTHING.

What message does this send from our so-called leaders?

In my store Pro has ALWAYS been used to task throughout the store. We are receiving, cashiers, and all the lumber depty. Our store does not staff lumber at all, and no obne ever opens and most days the 1st lumber person arrives at midshift. Meanwhile, trucks arrive at 6 am so guess who unloads every truck? PRO! The loader is called to receiving every day to help them so we never have a loader. Our cashier has been out 3 weeks, the lumber one 3 months! Now they are staying home due to covid-19.

This has been going on for 5 years here!

There is no Pro, there is no support, and corp knows it and makes believe we are fully staffed and they keep making demandS. iM HERE TO TELL mARV, jOE, wEBER, vp, AND dm to go fkk yourslves.

Unfortunately, we have rejected Muppets from Home Depot in charge. Misfits Home Depot didnt want. All they know how to do is copy, and play follow the leader.
They show up on weekly walks, with unwarranted swagger and confidence and the lowest Lowest staffers see right through them and laugh at them. Everyone regards them appropriately as "empty suits."

"Move this over there, replace that, add more stock here, fix that sign, etc etc."

These are their top concerns. Meanwhile, we have BROKEN, dysfunction registers, guns, etc. They break down constantly. We have a completely broken delivery service that screws up 100% of PRO and customer deliveries. A perfect record of incompetence yet, these empty suits DO NOTHING. The only thing they do is make believe its not a problem. And while pro's wont come to us for these reasons, what do these corporate empty suits do? Demand we get 10 new pro guys a week! LMAO .... These people are clinically insane id–ts!

We have no staff. We have ONE Pro Specialist (PSS) in all of Pro Services. Pro's call, and they cannot get through or any service. Then corporate actually wonders why we doing so poorly! LMAO.
Do they help this one PSS? No! They demand more of him. and ridicule his results.

These people are shameful. They are detrimental, they are ruining Lowe's.

STATISTICS DONT LIE, BUT LIARS USE STATISTICS!

This is Lowe's management exactly! They look at statistics as if they are the "tell all." Meanwhile, they are only one small speck of an aspect to help a person understand reality. But they lack INTEGRATION, they lack CONCEPTUAL thought. They cannot take those statistics and seamlessly and conceptually add it into the overall picture to come up with logical solutions. They simply say, we are up 8 points! Its working! Not taking into account spring rolled out, all the pro sales were landscapers starting their annual run, and it was sunny and perfect all week! They are fkkn clueless.

These people are liars. They evade all facts and reason. They are destroying a once decent company to work for.

8 of our last 10 applicants failed the d–g test! We have yet to hire a single PT'er, despite countless media minions writing articles as fact we will be hiring thousands. Not one has been hired, and we have no applicants in que.

Monday starts two weeks of Pro events. The Pros know its a joke, the employees and even store management laugh at this joke, and only dipchit VP and DM on conference calls pat eachother on the back and think their ideas are good.

Lowe's at this juncture does not deserve any employee with integrity. With smarts or intelligence. Drive, ambition, or ability.
Lowe's deserves exactly what its getting - d–g addicts, felons, and shirkers as employees who dont give a rats a– about working and arrive sporadically to collect a free check as they disappear, talk on cell phones, and sit in their cars.

Corporate Lowes, from President Marv, to VP, all of Human Resources, and then District VP's and District Managers are locusts. They came here to steal, and lie, and cover up, and use. They will take every dollar and resource, leave Lowes in ruin just like JC Penny, and move onto the next s—er.

Marv & co are not the ones to better this company in any regard. They are empty shells of human beings, hell-bent on lining their own pockets by any means necessary. Lying, evading, posturing.

My advice? Leave Lowe's asap, and dont give 2 weeks notice. They dont give you notice, so give them exactly what they give you. Nothing.

NY / NJ pro here.

We weer walked by district. They saw the only pro guy in am unloading a truck, then again during peak pro hours. The guy was by himself, and they all watched and saw yet do NOTHING. This isnt an isolated incident, its every day.

There is no "pro sales", the pro guys do EXACTLY what is stated below in all the comments. We are tasked daily, then the same manager who tasked you asks why you didnt get any sales or cc's. Really?

Class action lawsuit all over it. Thats creating a hostile work place! We all need to file a lawsuit.

Where is the Washington Post when you need them?

Seriously.. the environment in Lowe's is one of unethical, unlawful, and hostile work environment.
Im shutting down. Do bare minimal. Fkk em.

Been in pro for over 12 years it’s beyond ridiculous. No more team mentality it’s all gone everyone for themselves stealing sales credit and everything “Greed” produces . There’s is no help and because management never cared about pro anyway they don’t know anything about it . Relying on the specialist to teach the whole store plus train them on everything new rolling out lol. They can’t even name 5 pro customers by name let alone there business name lol 😂

Desks, phones, computers taken away as we'll as staff to down stock, straightendepartment, fill out computer stock reports and handwritten reports, empty trash, and yet still attempt to serve customers. Phone oders not taken by customer service, but passed off to others who then must take all info manually, find a computer to reenter, collect cc info and then have customer service complete sale. Then associate must stop serving.8customers to.pull product for phone or internet sales.

Well PBM is history for about a month or more.
But, it is deck season, so every husband that told his wife he could build their deck for 1000s cheaper than a contractor will be in wanting a free deck design, and have you teach them how to build it and explain all the items on the materials list.

Then they'll pay with anything but a pro card, and take up hours of your time over the next few weeks. Not even counting the "you sold it, you pull it" time you're not available to help the real pros.

Why didn’t you get 20k? Need credit! Need Pro Loyalty! Need 10’s! Need EPPs! Need to go to Millwork nobody there. Need to go get that button in Hardware,nobody there! Need To work PBM! Why are we down in shingle sales? Delivery is full until next week. No don’t get too many big builders, we can’t service them! Go for the house flipper mo–ns and the rental property slum lords who want discounts on everything! Hey can you figure a fence, everyone in outside lawn and garden doesn’t know how. Hey, go explain Trex to that woman and spend four hours with her! Hey that guy needs a storage bldg install, nobody knows how...Hey stay at the desk, hey get away from the desk, hey....

Meanwhile at my store there are more pro staffers when there are desks. If they have to pull their own orders they go in pairs. They also shop for themselves on company time (a few are handymen on their off days or evenings). There is always a cart or two behind the desk that they take to the checkout on their way out.

The two kids they had in lumber last night were playing some game that involved sliding tape measures across the floor. I needed to leave my department (only one scheduled) in order to use star wars to get down a large tool box for a customer. I told the ASM on duty what I saw in lumber and that both associates were PE certified but he didn't seem to care. (Okay then, don't b!tch at me when my freight isn't put away.
