Thread regarding Hy-Vee layoffs

Put a fork in it, Hy-vee is done

Hyvee needs about $100 million to stay liquid for the next 90 days. They won't get that kind of cash from their little step child, Midwest Heritage bank, and after today's meltdown on Wall Street, it's doubtful they can get it there either.

Hang on folks you are about to get the biggest Dirk Diggler bratwurst right where you don't want it.

Hy vee is a company that bragged about how it was employee owned.
I guess it is employees disowned now!
LMMFAO.
If you worked for and trusted these corporate oligarchs...then you are only getting what you deserve!

F— Hyvee. I feel sorry to all the store level employees. Corporate employees are not essential. I see it everyday. Stroll in the door when you want to. Leave when you want to. Only come out of your office for 1-2 a day and that’s when you leave on lunch. You’re all pathetic and taking it out on the people who made you what you are.

Quit with the fear mongering. You can disagree with everything going on, I know I do, but Hy-Vee has huge credit line contracts that have hardly been used. Stop making people think the doors are closing any minute. People are scared enough.

Please stop scaring people. I don't agree with any of this, but Hy-Vee has tons of available credit.

Well they have yet to lay off cooperate employees so that tells who they care about. Not the stores!

Really, all corporate staff is essential? I sincerely hope that was sarcasm. There’s more waste in that office than the worst performing store.

The sad fact is that you’re paying for Randy’s sins of the past, and it all started with Curtis Stone.

The best thing I ever heard from him was at the Mega Holiday meeting at Wells Fargo Arena (another solid idea...) where he said if you’re not happy 70%of the time, you should look elsewhere and find something you’re passionate about.

That stuck, and three months later, I said goodbye to the only company I knew. My only regret is I didn’t do it sooner.

To those recently cut, you’ll land. Companies value what Hy-Vee used to stand for, and those with 10+ years have “it”.

Those still there, don’t be surprised when you get kicked off the cliff like Mufasa...

If this is true then why wouldn’t they be shedding nonessential help at the office?

Stockholder are in a real pickle right now. If they all sell off their HyVee stock the company doesn’t have the money to pay them out. They will have to file bankruptcy. Which mean the stock becomes useless. If they don’t sale their company stock and HyVee file for bankruptcy they will also be worthless. Only course of action for stock holders Is to let randy fix all of these problems. Keep in mind we are at this crossroads because of Randy’s poor decision for the past 9 years.

This statement is true about HyVee. They don’t have a cash flow to cover all of their debt past 90 days. Right now we are on a crash course with bankruptcy. The only way to fix this problem is quick changes. No longer funding bad idea and trying to get payroll down. We are going to keep cutting until we can change the course with bankruptcy. FYI companies that file bankruptcy your company stock will become worth toilet paper. The good news only directors and above will take the hit as they are the only ones that can buy stock. HyVee store employees get fired so they can save their company stock.
