8 of us have flu and are calling out this weekend. We were told we will be fired. Our next call was to the parent of one of the 8 who is a labor lawyer. Bye Brian (Felicia)

Hey if you're on a final and can't afford another call out.. well that seems like it's just your own fault, no offense. You probably either abused your sick time or should have filed for an FMLA if you really needed that much sick time lately.
Sorry
To who ever said you’re legally protected with a Dr.’s note. No you are not. You have to be under FMLA to be protected by law. Doesn’t mean you can’t sue & hope the judge & jury will be on your side.
If you have a doctors note you are legally protected from getting fired. Without a note you put yourself in a unprotected space.
If ya'll wouldn't call off as soon as you get 8hours sick time to use you would be ok.
TYPHOID MARVIN
I just missed three days due to illness and my store was completely understanding. .
make local news aware of lowes draconian sick policies. lowes and other corporations willfully spread sickness by penalizing you for calling off for being sick. they may offer sick pay...but you will be penalized for it! how mess up is that! how can it ever be considered "a benefit" when you have to first take a penalty for using it! RIGHT NOW in this moment the media would lap this stuff up. no corporation should ever be allowed to penalize you for missing work for being ill!! it is time for marvin ellison to stand trial in the court of public opinion for spreading disease!
My concern right now is if people become sick with the flu or worse and they are told to stay home. Let’s say you are on a final and not permitted another call out, what happens?
