50 mill store in NY/NJ area.
We have a supervisor, but he/she is never there and mostly in hardware.
A FT'er, again, who disappears and pro covers the tools dept every day.
One PT'er, and he/she ONLY closes.

No one in tools has a license, so every tool chest or large tool needed is taken down by Pro guys. Oh wait, the PRO guys do everything in this store from cashiers all day due to call out or the front end ASM purposely screwing pro with scheduling, unloading trucks, covering every dept, and doing what 4 diff ASM's and 8 different managers tell them do constantly every day. Also, the district managers are aware, and make excuses for it ALL WHILE yelling at these tasked individuals to get metrics.
KNOWING they are tasked and cant be in two places at once.
KNOWING, they are not at Pro.

They all kow, yet keep threatening innocent employees who are simply doing what managers are telling them to do, and also politely and professinally voicing these concerns to their superiors. All management KNOW, yet continue to to the opposite of what corporate has laid out for the PRO dept.

At my store it’s the exact opposite, full timers in the break room or behind the store on another Smoke break (smokers have rights ya know! lol) while the part timers do nearly all the work. When management wants something done they come looking for part timers to do it.

In our store, the part-timers (whether old or young) are given a pass and the full-timers are held to a higher standard and are expected to do more and to pick up the slack.

We have 3 old part timers in hardware and 1 had 2 fulltime associates now down to 1 fulltime guy. Replacing the other fulltime position with 2 seasonal part time people. In tools we have 1 old fulltime associate 1 old part time associate and a young part time associate. We have went through 3 department supervisors this one we have is a smartass d–k head from home depot. All of our old guys and part timers are dead weight. They do the bare minimum if that and get whatever days off they want. We are a 50 million dollar store. Why does it seem this company puts the old people whether they are part time or fulltime on a pedestal? I'm the only fulltime 30 yr old their and have to do tools IRPs as well plus all of the asset protection standard BS that's been put on all stores. Any major jobs that tools need I do. I was hired as a hardware guy a few yrs ago. They always forced me and the younger fulltime guy in hardware to do all of toolworlds b—s— that they would not do. All the part timers Nd old guys just sit on their phones and drink coffee shot the sh–. F—ing hate this sh–hole. When I was in plumbing for years none of this sh– ever would fly.
