Probably a good idea. Could not have been Shari Redstones idea.
Still talking about streaming but we already lost there. Which is what happens when you spend company money on stock buy backs instead of investing in real programming and the future of “content” as a whole. How many times can you bring back Jersey Shore and promote someone for THAT?! HOW?! No new ideas, huh? You get a promotion and more networks! DUMB!

Sadly ViacomCBS will be another MGM, only existing in the library archives. This is what happens when you appoint leaders who can't lead.
they are selling off everything that is not video content so they can get the company acquired by a Netflix or other streaming platform for the big show library. The executives will get even richer from the acquisition and everyone else will get dumped.

Rumor is - Tom Hanks will star in the Role as BOB Gump. Selling to get out of Debt, buy back stock and invest more into the sinking streaming ship

The company needs cash. It’s not a core product and not intricate to Bobs plan. Other publishing Star Trek books it’s never mentioned. It makes sense. Not sure who wants it or how much it’s worth though.
