Anyone feel like your future is now dependent on some shallow personal opinion your boss forms about you? There are many directors running around that have been handed jobs as pass through candidates. At one point in time, people earned their jobs through years of success and experience.
I’m constantly on edge that I’m going to lose my job because they don’t think I’m a good fit despite decades of success and experience.
This used to be a team atmosphere where you could be open about needing help. Now you have to hide weaknesses and everyone is jockeying to be the smartest man in the room. There’s no leadership or guidance.

Nothing is ever enough any more. The mantra is faster, better, stronger. What does that even mean??? People are already loaded down.
I remember getting reviews where I was told I’m doing a good job and keep it up. Now it’s some offensive bs to justify a 1.5% raise.
This has been the true Pepsi for many years. All the cuts are merely exposing the rotten core. You gotta wonder how certain people are questionable leaders with disgusting back room politics but always dodge the bullet.
