Liberty Tax, now known as The Franchise Group, purchased several businesses, including Sears Outlets, Buddy's furniture, American Freight, as well as Vitamin Shoppes. The intend to combine the first three under the American Freight banner. There is no brand equity in the Sears name, and in fact, there is brand liability. So this comes at no surprise. They now have a bigger national presence than Sears, and any franchisees of the two stores formerly associated with Tranform are welcoming this change. Makes perfect sense.
They aren't owned by old sears or new sears, so it makes sense. They all got sold.
