It’s a bit unsettling that no one seems to care about Dayton workers being contractors. No union memberships or NS employment there. And now they are going to take over material from RDC?

That's funny!
Think it's BS that union work is going to contractors! Unions need to fight for their dues paying people or quit taking our money!
I GUESS I SHOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT THE STOCK MARKET BUT IM NOT. N,S. DOESNT EVEN REALLY MATCH THE 401 K SO THERES NO REASON TO PARTICIPATE SAD

Exactly temporary employees. The big automakers are notorious for implementing these practices.
Who gives a damn Union isn’t going to do anything they are just sitting on the a– waiting for there checks to come in every pay day.
Precision Scheduled Railroading (PSR) is a synonym for Kaizen. Kaizen work methods are mostly used on assembly lines in factories, but now Kaizen work methods are being applied to railroads. American companies use Kaizen to reduce the amount of employees needed to produce the same amount of work. This achieved by requiring full-employees to work longer hours and using contract or temporary employees during peak business times.
This is the future. It shouldnt come as a surprise.
