Who cares about your podcast (garb-cast). Only your bank and stock holders do. And you were right about one thing in your quarterly meeting here lately. "Not everyone is cut out for retail" that's right, especially with you running the place. Who would want to work in this garbage. Fire the employee doing all the hard work, line your pockets with all the bonuses and perks to fund your meetings and so on, managers getting most weekends off, regular everyday hard working employees getting one weekend off every 3 months, pacifying the asm's. A fun fund huh? That sounds real fun. More like a funny fund, because it's funny it never makes it to anyone's else check. Last thing I want to do is laugh and giggle with management. That don't pay the bills, but I guess it does for you, that's all that matters. I'm suprised that were #2 and not #200.

I love the conference call q and a. ALWAYS softball questions. The askers do not want to make anyone look bad because they OWN a stake in this debacle. They are all just ponies at a dog show.
While these clowns are focused on Jerkcasts, videos on small hands and Fabuloso, Tacos's, and other things that have zero to do with sales, customers, service, or employees, real disasters are all around us.
I work at PRO. They are harassing us daily to get cc's, loyalty, sales, etc. Meanwhile, we have NO DELIVERY SERVICE!!
My last 20 deliveries were all botched! Customers come in furious and the front end ASM sends them to the pro desk! Meanwhile, everything was staged, done right, and perfect.
Deliveries is broken. Until Marv fixes it, pro will be a failure. PRO canot work w/out a reliable delivery service. For Lowes and managers to force us to lie to customers and promise delivery is a breach and violation of ethics and laws. We need a class action. We are told to process cc's for those who are not contractors, are not business owners (yet open them LBA or business account), and have no credit. Just so we get "credit" for the application. They are skewing statistics to not only make themselves look good and the company viable, but also to falsely blame employees. They use these unethical statistics to their advantages.
Very shady, very unethical.
W are a 50 mill store. Our neighbor is a 30 mill store.
They have 4 specialists, supervisor, 2 csa's, 2 cashiers, and 2 loaders.
We have ONE specialist, ONE CSA, ONE loader, ONE cashier. No supervisor, and the asm is a ghost. Never around unless to yell and blame. We have begged for help, and we are told to stfu or be written up. And pro is supposed to be the most professional dept in all of Lowes. Yea righjt. No wonder why we failing.
Lowes needs to come to stores, pull associates aside and let them speak. Fact find and gather useful info not from lying managers, but from those soldiers in the trenches.
But they never will.Nor ever fix deliveries, nor care. Its business as usual at lowes while all pro business is leaving in droves, and people steeping down or quitting.
Lowes is over. Run away, and fast.
While I was still working for the company, when I first heard about the new ceo I was rather excited because from what I had read about him I really thought he would help the company..WRONG !! As it proves now he's nothing more than a smoke & mirrors person who is actually just a puppet that lives to make his bosses happy.

What gets me is we were better off before Marvin and friends decided that we needed fixing. The old adage “don’t fix what ain’t broken” applies here.
Many at my store do as little work as possible, they stand around talking during power hours and then leave all the work for the closer, usually that is me. I do what I can and don’t worry about the rest.
Those of us that still care about the company are growing increasingly frustrated that our company has been hijacked and that our voices are not being heard. We keep fighting the fires that corporate keeps setting and perhaps it's time for a new strategy. Let it burn until corporate either starts putting them out themselves or gets consumed by them. Case in point, based on what I am seeing in both my and surrounding markets is Lowe's has already forfeited our once dominating lead in home appliances to Home Depot. Incompetent 3rd party delivery was only the opening act, followed by a POORLY conceived/executed cross-dock delivery, and finished off by crippling inventory levels. The damage is already done and there is little hope anything will change in time to salvage the first half of 2020. I will predict Q1 2020 will be even worse than Q4 2019 as we continue to loose market share to Home Depot due to lack of inventory and process changes. Lets see how corporate explains that one to the shareholders. So much for their "multi-year turn around plan". Their own arrogance will eventually lead to their own demise. Too bad it won't happen before they take most of us down in the process.
I sense your disdain, and unfortunately agree with you. The philosophy of this new Marvin regime is one of contempt. They simply DO NOT value employees. They see us as a hindrance, not a value.
Ever notice that even if you do 4500% more than your coworkers, you are still equal? You are looked upon as the sum. If the dept does well, thats all they care about and everyone gets the credit. Even if you did 99% of the work. And even if you make metrics, and the rest dont, you are all scolded.

We got a new store manager 6 months ago, first time I saw him was at the all store meeting. He works m-f 6 to 4.
