Stores are taking a beating. Hours being cut back , and hours cut for labor. Flash showed ALL red yesterday. Only customers were mostly elderly who looked like they should be in quarantine. Locally the government has banned gatherings of 25 or more... store shut down coming soon until outbreak passes...
I went to a store once. No offense but mostly ageing population. Nordstrom should close stores to keep those old people safe, seriously.

I want to go downtown and visit store 1 now.

Sales in Seattle and Bellevue must be close to zero this week.
Conference rooms booked through to next Friday in 45min slots...
Earnings yesterday were a miss, but not a complete disaster. Nordstrom is still making money, if less than before. The decline comes before the Chinese virus crisis, but everyone except Costco will write off Q1 2020.
Nonetheless, sails must be trimmed. How are the schedules for certain conference rooms in 865 looking for the next few Fridays?
Congratulations CEO Erik, a good guy.
