@3dxp sounds like you already have.
There will probably be a slow in demand for many products built in the US from this virus. The global supply chain, metals, electronics materials we use and things bought at the local stores. Many of those items come from China and overseas. Have to wait and see how this plays out in the very near future with our JOBS I’m thinking.
I don't know how anybody can read what @3dxp+13N9bI41 posted and see it as a negative. This is literally how every person I have ever come across at Schenectady thinks and acts. Everyone wants theirs and they don't care who has to pay for it, they don't care what it cost. As long as it's somebody else that gets hurt, they don't care. They would infect everyone of their coworkers with the corona virus if they thought it would give them more overtime or a bump in their hourly pay. The place is toxic enough as it is.
I'm looking forward to GE getting hit and I don't care who else has to pay a price.
Its going to rape Aviation. Contagion fears means no flying means no parts wearing out means no spares being sold, thus no cash flow. Delayed deliveries on the 9x, Leap will be down regardless of the 737Max getting recertified or not. No new mid-sized aircraft, or the engine for it, and no cash to launch the effort anyway.
Good one GE. Imaginative Accounting.
GE is already announcing a $300 - $500 million hit on cash flow this quarter due to the virus according to a recent Reuters article. If the virus escalates in the U. S. , look out.
