Name one thing that’s better about Lowe’s with Marvin in charge.

I love the challenge of continually restructuring my days as a DS as my responsibilities keep changing - it’s like getting a new job every week without any training, just added expectations. Oh yea, and it really keeps me sharp and on my toes with the feeling that I could be let go without notice at anytime due to another restructure... that’s a bonus Marvin brought!!!
Marv, is and has been the wake up call to get out. Your complacency to stay is your problem. Your future!
The Zebra devices are much better than the old iPod/iPhone/Spectralink models we had previous.

For restructuring the regional and district teams. This has lead to a tyrant of a DM for us and a SM who’s just as bad but terrified. As a DS I love coming into work every single day and being told my job is constantly on the line with everything I do and how I have no schedule anymore, no rotation (even though I’m in management) being called on my day off and told to come in and threatened with a write up if I don’t, bring forced onto overnights then back to days then back to nights (cause the customer centric 11 hours between shifts doesn’t apply to management according to my SM). I would like to say my psychiatrist is probably very happy with Marvin cause I go see him more now than I ever did and I take more medication to deal with my job and the stress it causes than ever before.
That I can now just say “no” to customers because all of our equipment is broken and not going to be repaired because of cost cutting.
I’m no longer there. Oh sorry, that’s good for me not Lowe’s.

I’m a part timer so I got more free time, thanks Marvin, to go out and look for a better job. Since I have more free time I’m also able to finish up projects around the house and get my wife off my back. I may help her get a job at Lowe’s as well to keep her busy. I’m also getting my steps in because with the departments so under staffed I have to cover every where the store. My back is feeling better because I’m putting less in top stock since we have so little to sell. I just leave the freight on the cart and the freight fairy puts it into the black hole known as top stock.
He made it clear that Niblock was a symptom and not the disease.
He has made my life much simpler. I don't have to worry about planning family functions on weekends, because I know I will be at Lowes working most all of them. And...I don't have to worry about how to spend my extra money because he stole it right off of me. Thanks Marvin!
LOL, I can name three:
- Substantially less inventory to count (which helps explain HD's stellar Q4 results).
- Less with holdings in my paycheck (now that my allowance is gone and I am making 20% less).
- We all have safer box cutters now (although I still have a few of the originals for when they change back in 6 months).
Other than those I am drawing a blank.
