Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Unions Coming ? If not there should be !

With all the uproar of managers being terminated for no reason?
With all the uproar of associates not being given hours for pay ?
With all the uproar of Walmart not taking care of their people ?

Why is there not a UNIONIZED Walmart ? Do yall realize how much anguish this would cause upper leadership if there was union activity in the workplace ? How much Walmart 'Would have to listen to us" if there was ?

All it takes is one associate from a store to be heard ! Sign up ! I think it's pass time to do so !

Send me your money! I will speak for you. We can increase benefits and decrease staff. It'll be great!

You will never get a union in Walmart. Workers are too afraid to stand up for themselves...

Literally Jesus himself couldn’t convince a store to unionize. What a joke!

I agree with most of these posts. WM will fight Unions, always have, and if needed, go beyond the law to do so. But they are experts in knowing how to circumvent the law. And Federal laws are not on the employees side. They have been written to protect the corporation, that is where the money is.
Knowing how ruthless WM is, I suspect they would not be beyond hiring hit men to take care of business for them. The greed is that strong. I know many will say you are nuts to believe that. It is the next step in Walmart's evolution. They will do anything for the dollar.

There's never been a law WMT was afraid to break if it means making more $$ for shareholders and upper management.

They will illegally terminate employees promoting unions in their stores. Hell, they've been illegally terminating long term associates forever. They just document false infractions first to cover their spacious a$$e$.

Remember that there are laws to protect associates, theses are FEDERAL LAWS!

If associates play there cards right it could happen and should. All it takes is 51% of an area of the store, not total store. For example maintenance associates. So say a store has 10 maintenance associate, just 5 would be needed to sign on and so on. Just 51% of online grocery associates. UFCW wants you!
