Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Can someone please explain this? Kronos. Scheduling. Transferred?

All last month I had an (x) at y name on the printed schedule and in Kronos. When I first saw it I asked management and they simply said, "you are transferred that day and will be working elsewhere."
When I asked where, they said I had to look at the printed schedule that day. Each time, I was scheduled in lumber / bldg materials and worked an entire shift there under that managers direction.

This week again, I am transferred out of Commercial Sales, and scheduled in lumber all week. The Pro dept currently has only me, one PSS. The new manager hasnt started, nor have the other supposedly hired PSS's. Our Pro Csa works lumber too daily and our pro loader does nothing.

Is this normal in other stores? We are told we have to get metrics like 20k in sales, cc's per week, and loyalty, etc etc but then I am transferred out of pro!

What the hell is it? Get metrics or work lumber. When I ask, no one even knows so they simply say, you have to follow Kronos!

Am I really to believe corporate doesnt know about this for an entire month? And still expecting metrics met?
Ive made copies of all schedules, and also copied emails to management for protection but man oh man is this company clueless or what?

This is REALLY how we get pro business? By having NO ONE at the desk?

Wow.

I was a Pro CSA for a year - I worked Lumber unless a quote was needed after the Pro Specialists had gone home. It all pays the same - work where you’re needed - if that’s not your thing you shouldn’t stay with Lowe’s.

Yes it does happen pretty regularly.
It's so the store can appear to have proper staffing and hours. When they really don't.

It's another way the Store's cook the books to make things better than they really are. It's a page from the company playbook the MARVELOUS ONE will be pleased

This happens all the time at my store. We have cashiers scheduled in floor departments that they know nothing about. They just stand there and tell the customers to come back when someone who works in that department is scheduled. Stupidest thing ever. I get 5 hours a week now due to school; I used to get 30 hours. In the mean time cashiers are scheduled for "coverage" and they won't help customers or even put away freight.

From what I am reading, you are supposed to be in Pro Sales. You didn't say what your position is.

If you are a Pro Sales CSA, you might as well be a lumber associate. A PS CSA is billed to PSales, but you are a lumber dude.

It's just how Lowe's does their paperwork.

From what I was told, Friday afternoon or earlier the Kronos dashboard has to show "green" and then there is compliance, so all sorts of other associates end up listed in other departments and then Saturday morning some of these associates are no longer listed in the other departments where they were assigned by Kronos.
