So Lowe’s is 4Pros. Which ones really? Are house flippers pros?
Re roofers, are they pros? Or is it just house painters and home builders?
I believe when Lowe’s says pros they really mean regular visitors to a store. I believe that because neither our credit services or delivery services are up to handling a true pro customer. Flippers put stuff on their credit cards and pay it off when a house sells. Builders pay based on a draw schedule. Tru professional contractors have open accounts at several companies who can serve their needs. Lowe’s lacks the capability to service a one hundred thousand dollar a month customer. I know this because I take several away from Lowe’s every year. They always say the same thing to. I ask how much do you pay for a square of roofing with accessories delivered to your site. The answer is always “I have no idea.” When I tell them every load I deliver is bagged and watertight, delivers on time, and we email the invoice to them at time of delivery with confirmation photos taken at the site; they switch immediately. Every fricking time. I switch em right in Lowe’s’s parking lot.

Lowe’s is targeting the low hanging fruit, and also the rotten and mooshy fruit that has been trampled underfoot.
Lowe’s is targeting the pros with tools in their trucks not at a job site kind of pros.
You know the ones in the lumber aisle announcing “I’m a contractor! Can I get some service here!”
Better known as the contractors with the bad backs.

Former PSE here also and I agree with the above statement.. Lowe's can not handle the needs of a true PRO customer. That is what the wholesale builders suppliers do day in day out with more efficiency and lower rates
The main point here is ... and I am a PSS in a 50 mill store in NY/NJ/CT area ....
- FRAUD - This is correct! We make promises to get the sale, with NO intention, or knowing capabilities to deliver. XPO is the WORST delivery service ever!! All my deliveries on Friday didnt go, or were botched. They were all staged perfectly and set up in system perfectly with manifest notes, etc. How do you deliver 2 decking SOS po's and forget the damn deck boards? Ask XPO!
This has been a conmstat all year and my store manager and ASM team cannot do a single thing about it because corporate clowns have signed the contract with XPO. We have no boom service, and not allowed to run things to Pro;s with the pick up any longer.
Lowe's is set up nicely for a class action because they force us to say these things (delivery on weds) KNOWING it wont go just to get the sale. They force us to lie to customers.
This was rampant in the PSI program. I saw 1st hand, Lowe's taking 50k checks or more KNOWING we didnt even have an installer!!!! Or assigning a known installer that NEVER did a job right!
- We have been told to sell LBA to every customer. When a PRO cc is used (LBA) it boosts Pro sales on paper, making Lowes look good. But its cooking the books! Its a lie. They should be getting LCC's, yet we sell them pro cards. There are serious consequences to unethical behaviors. One consequence here is, they now track all pro card usages. So in my market they see mass pro sales on weekends, because these people are homeowners shopping with fraudulent pro cards on weekends making it look like the store has a lot of pro business those days. So guess what? The store manager provides that skewed, fraudenet statistic to corporate and sways corporate to staff pro employees on weekends!
But then with no corp oversight, they dont realize these employees now are being used for "coverage", not for Pro desk or pro customers because they dont exist on weekends! Nor are vendors opened. So its all a scam.
Then, when we have two days of tasking on weekends, thats 2 days during the week off so you dont make your numbers or metrics and you look bad!
THIS, is the epitome of Lowe's. These poorly run operations where they are driven by unethical businesses practices, shady management, and manipulative corporate structure.
These are just a few "scams" Lowe's has going and hiding. And when you address issues to your managers, and up the chain, politely, factually, and professionally, they blame you! They sweep it under the rug, then target you in many different ways. Pigeon holing, write ups, blocking and banning advancement, and tasking. Targeted attacks.
Even at the corporate level, all the way up to Jennifer Weber. They do not care, they dont want to hear it. Just do what you are told with a smile and at 100% all the time.
Everyone should be either exposing Lowe;s, quitting, or at the very least speaking up about these code of ethics violations.
Terrible place to work with no leaders, or ethical base in anything.

I think trespass laws don’t apply in any way.
Additionally I say if anyone is guilty of “commercial fraud” it would be Lowe’s for offering great service and product knowledge and failing to deliver.

I get many jobs from going to Lowes millwork aisle and watch who is looking at doors. Give them my card and before they do install with Lowes call me and see who has the better deal.
But we have nice logos, slogans and beautiful red vests with a high turnover. Can’t you see we are better? Every no-tax paying illegal in the city gets an extra 5%, and we love it! Hey rental property owning, slum lord from India ... here’s a discount, and make sure you badger us everyday for another discount on any damaged product you scour the store for everyday and stack on your gd cart!
Lowe's considers anyone with a Lowe's business account (lar, lba,lamex, preload) a Pro.
These accounts get kid glove treatment. When not assisting these accounts, everyone else is to be helped and are sought after to open a pro account.
