Can I have a nice, relaxing weekend or am I in for more sleepless nights?

Keep believing in this dumb a– company! THEY NOT GOING TO BE IN BUSINESS TO GIVE YOU A JOB! DUH! F**K BBB!
"They do care. If they didn’t they would not give severance." ERROR! Totally incorrect. They don't 'give' severance. They offer it to people being laid off in exchange for the former associate's agreeing in writing to not sue the company and to release BBB from all future liabilities. If you don't sign the General Release of liability you get zilch.
I'm just surprised the severance package hasn't been diluted since they started these mass RIFs a year ago, late march 2019 with CTS and a few Corporate people. It is 1.5 weeks for every year of employment, capped at max of 20 weeks for upper mgmt, and 1.0 weeks per year of service capped at 15 I think for store level associates. Mark my words, the severance will become leaner as things get worse....
For those saying that they don’t care. When my RM had to sit me down and say I was being let go it was not easy for them. They were emotional and upset and they would have fought to keep me. The problem is my job is now redundant, no matter how hard I worked to stay relevant. They do care. If they didn’t they would not give severance. And for those saying it’s not humane on how they do the process, you have to understand that they have to do this process in a certain manner to prevent issues and for legal issues. I know of people who would have destroyed things when they left, which is just horrible. There is too much risk if they don’t escort you out. Unfortunate yes. But they are not going against the industry standards for this procedure.
As the previous replies state perfectly it is over for now but in the big picture it is never over for this company. You now see how swift and without a care lop off loyal associates in a manner that is downright embarrassing for those let go. The better question is do you want to stay part of this hideous organization or move on to someplace much better? Best of luck to you!
Well said. It's never over. There will always be the next restructuring action with an attempt at a positive spin from Corp as hundreds of loyal workers are let go like they mean nothing. Remember how brutal and ruthless this company is now...and if you stay thinking it will never be you then you deserve what you get. Anyone still loyal is a mo–n.
It's over for now. Relax. Don't stress about what is outside your control, it won't help you. I'd take a long hard look at whether you want to stay with a company that is in such a critical situation.
