Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

I say condense the RVP role

These new cuts have to involve cutting some of the RVP’s. Do they really need that many? In all the concepts? There is one for Harmon? CTS? Baby? and several for bed bath. Isn’t that what the regional managers are for? The RM’s can handle taking some responsibility for the Harmon CTS and or baby stores? Further more expand the RVP territory and make them work and hold them accountable. Some RVP’s in other companies have an entire coast line to cover... like the East coast. Don’t we have like 3 on the East coast if you count all the concepts? Don’t take away from the stores and honestly what do the RVP’s do? change the dress code in the region? Come on! Let’s get real here.

Letting the good people go and keep the bad ones. I think that's the plans for all CEOs. Just so they have a scapegoat in the end who will take the blame.

Agreed they can all go. Also RMs wth do they do anyway that's constructive to stores? Oh they can show up in a store and be pompous about beyonds but really? Nobody cares. You have zero accountability for anything outside of emails and conference calls spouting more bs. All the desk jockeys should be sent to New Jersey if they want to keep those jobs, if not, bye bye. So much wasted payroll RVP, RM, DM, HR, MERCH...start there!!!!

You need to dump every existing rvp for BBB and start over, with fewer if them as you said. Start in the midwest/chicago area....just make sure to sell tickets to the firing - could turn a nice profit in that.
