My heart breaks for everyone let go yesterday. I was let go in the last round in June 2018 and from experience I can tell you that the layoffs at DST tanked wages across the board. There is far more supply than demand so employers are taking advantage of it and offering half of what you made at DST. If you want to earn anywhere near what you earned at DST you're going to have to go the consultant route and relocate.

Folks, it s—s to be let go, but, eff that place. It's a dump and in 2 months when you have a job at a better place, for better money, and not working for some money grubbing corporate raider, you'll look back on this dumpster fire of a company and laugh. You'll find out that there are a ton of companies that still care about people as much as profit. Ss&c is a mess. It will always be a mess. The guy bit off more than he can chew. He'll choke on the DST purchase soon enough. Be happy you got out of there and get a job you can actually be happy at again

So were those let go in the previous layoffs not “really good people”?

Being a good person, and being perceived by your manager as someone "I can afford to lose" aren't the same thing by any stretch. As William Muny said, "Deserves got nothing to do with it"!

I heard that there are several work from home folks in the Harrisburg Area let go as well. I was in the last round and those of you that are in this round, be tough. The grass can be greener. The shock is overwhelming but you will get through it. Don't let them beat you down. I'm thinking about you all.

To all those great employees that got let go in KC today (including myself) we should meet this week to celebrate our next steps in whatever and wherever that may be!!!

Except those I’ve lost respect for that had other jobs waiting for them and keeping it a secret while awaiting their severance check distribution! To those, it’s not my job to persecute but it demonstrates your ethics and I am a believer that karma may bite back in due time.

This is a new beginning and will not let this new owners money hungry business approach ruin me! It’s a shame that he has no clue what’s goin on in each one of our lives; many some suffering serious family illnesses and injuries and other major life events that have them strapped already. I say sayonara and am glad to finally be freed from the pressure & strain they’ve placed on us. I’m also glad and ready to find employment in a company who is owned by a true human being and appreciates & respects staff who provide such dedication to their career and producing quality work rather than being a number on their bottom line. This company has laid off such great talent amongst the names I know so far and wish them good luck to each and everyone of you.
