Thread regarding ViacomCBS layoffs

This IS the place to vent!

Saying this isn’t the place to vent isn’t helpful. We’re all stressed and if we can’t lean on each other here, then where? I’d say it’s fair to place blame on ViacomCBS since it’s obvious they’re letting staff employees go just to save a few bucks/replace with freelancers. They take advantage of the permalance system to avoid providing benefits. Also, anyone saying it’s easy to go out and get another job clearly hasn’t been interviewing for the last few months. Speak for yourself and be kind. We’re all in this mess together.

Couldn't agree more with you, @7ysk+13usivuC.

Is anyone else going on 1+ years without benefits? I’ve been told there are no staff positions available only to see people in other departments staffed up in under 6 months.

I recently posted my work situation and was shamed by trolls. Those who think they are safe/unaffected by these sweeping changes are uninformed. 700 million in savings..is insane.
