Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Global Business Solutions, it is not something new.

Last year they offered people in finance in the US to train people in India to do their job in exchange for keeping their job for 6 more months until the middle of March this year.

They are getting 2 weeks of severance for each year of service but if a trainee complained of no cooperation, then they would be let go immediately with no severance.

They are planning to sell it as: "Imagine you have a question.

Send an email and people from India that are MBA material will solve it while you are asleep, and when you wake up everything will be solved".

Unless, of course, there's need for follow up.

It's time for senior leadership to take a fact finding tour of the facilities in Wuhan to see how things are going there.

So the HR director who stares into her phone ignoring the entire team she supports as she fast tracks campus hires with no skill set, no business acumen and no people skills into the next role is expendable? Say it ain’t so Joe.

They can automate this behavior and get the same bad final situation. Just skip a few steps and ship these HR wizards back to the 1600.

Sweet irony as staging is taking place to unload HR. HR has had no sensitivity to the termination of long tenure employees for the past few years. After 30 years of service I was terminated by someone who did not even know who I was, then I was supervised while I put my belongings in a box then escorted to the parking lot. It was an absolutely disgusting end to my years of dedication to this company. PepsiCo will bring in a third party company to dump HR. It will be a just reward !
