Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

UK Deadwood

Does anyone else agree there is far to much deadwood in the UK business? Great to see a new leader appointed, but it would have been good to see some fresh blood, even if it was someone from Cisco in the US.

There’s such a culture of deservedness, especially with long serving AE that complain they aren’t earning £300k this year, despite being glorified order takers. Yet they stay knowing they can’t cut it elsewhere, making it harder for us who want to work hard and progress. IMHO these people are leaches, s—ing the blood out the business, offering little in return. I hope they realise this and cut these people in the LRs.

Half these people were in there 30’s when the internet came about, what other modern tech company would hire these useless people?

@OP+13BrztaK, dont understand your complaints. UK engineers are among the best I have worked with. Unfortunately, many were let go when engineering VP's were those from the pervious British colony in the Southern Asian continent.
