MRC-aka XBS west coast lays off (fires) two long time sales executives who used to be sales managers..... Anyone else seeing sales executive positions being laid off??

One of the two was a VP at Zoom, then demoted to manager in the Bay by MRC before ultimately being "let go". The other was a Selling Sales Manager at Zoom before being demoted by MRC and also "let go". Also two Zoom Service Managers were laid off last week by MRC. Terrible to watch the destruction of a company that was flourishing just one year prior. Even worse knowing how many lives have been significantly impacted by this disgraceful company called Xerox.
Were they laid off or fired? There's a big difference...
I thought MRC, SoCal, Zoom & Inland were all just going to merge under Leone.
Why layoff sales reps? Prepping for territory consolidations?
Didn’t MRC just merge with other shops?
Vice President of sales was laid off at COTG in Chicago.
