Whatever, I'd be surprised if anything happens. Last summer ASM's would talk about how they 'watched' the summer college kids standing around doing nothing but talking to the cute girl employee. They don't have the guts to actually talk to employees that are less productive. Customers complained said"'can't they help out"

The company’s IT infrastructure is an antique! They can’t even keep the system up and running on a daily basis. I wouldn’t be concerned about the company spying on people.

And if they manage to, who cares....

At my store you can still leave the training room, just not get in if the door is locked. They do it to keep customer service from opening the door and yelling in “override needed.”

The way they act at my store, it could burn down around them and they would still be having their precious meeting.

To be fair, at our meeting yesterday they locked the damn door. I was worried we were going to have a red vest wedding on our hands, it creeped me out.

The person posting this probably doesn't even know how to adjust the volume on their computer. You can't spook people over free speech and good luck trying to obtain anon comments. This is the Internet. You can't silence the people.

ps. If you want to retain customers, get some damn cashiers. No contractor is going to ring up a bunch of lumber & items for their next job. They will just go somewhere else because time is money.

who cares if people talk about the changes. If corporate and their puppets don’t like it, maybe they shouldn’t make changes and cut jobs in the first place.

Remember P–p Toast? He/she was brought up in an all store meeting at my Lowe’s. Some of us got the third degree because we seemed a little too familiar with what P–p Toast was sharing. I dismissed it by saying I thought it was funny.

I would advise anyone (Lowe's employee or not) to be cautious as to what web sites they visit while on a company computer system. Very easy for their IT department to monitor the Internet Protocol (IP) addresses someone is visiting. As for what any of us do on our free time from our own personal devices they can go pound sand. Now if there is in fact any special interest being shed on the Specialists than one could easily speculate about a whole range of concerns being that the company is getting ready to financially screw over a vast number of them.
