Please be sure to do what you can to contact your University and inform these students about this place. Engineers need to organize on internet postings like this to get the word out. Do not work for Cummins as an Engineer. It is a dead end road, with disgusting business practice.

Thats 100 percent about Cummins upper and middle management being overly connected with each other via family being hired and kept. And they wonder why Cummins have so many issues. It's because they talk about ethic violations and such and at the same time you have someone that has family at almost all levels of management in the same damn building. As I said before sooner or later using Cummins to subsidize family that need a job and go to you to get them on Cummins tit will go down because at some point cousin or no cousin or brother or no brother etc. etc., investors always win.
Because still even family members get laid off if they aren't connected enough.
Not just engineers, but all professions. Cummins is not loyal to any good employee unless you are in the inner circle or inbred with relatives working in management. No location is safe. I was promoted several times, all good reviews, high performance and very dedicated to my job. Once I hit 10 years, I was thrown under the bus, despite being ranked a 1 the year before!!! Boss was totally incompetent, but married to an exec. “It wasn’t performance related” he said. Both are still there..
Its all misconception that H1b hired at cummins are underpaid. You can’t compare manufacturing companies with bay area companies. Go compare salaries with Michigan manufacturing and figure that cummins salaries are good in comparison. Go work for caterpillar Where not many H1b sponsorship and still layoffs are at higher rate than cummins!!!
Cummins is fortune 300 sweat shop, pure and simple. They don't pay their tech's industry standard and their engineers aren't paid neither industry standards. What I have been waiting for a long time to see some dirt/scandal to get out about Cummins. They have dodged the bullet a few times but it's only a matter of time before they fire or sh– on the wrong person and that person starts to out their dirty laundry.
Cummins will always find H1Bs to work for them. H1Bs have highly limited opportunities due to lack of sponsorship. Cummins uses this dynamic perfectly to keep salaries low.
