Starting to wonder that myself. The Appliance Distribution Center (ADC) servicing both my market and a significant portion of our state (100+ stores) is out of darn near every refrigerator that we have on display at our store as well as many of the less critical appliances (ranges, washer, dryers, dishwashers, etc). Yes, we just came off of a month long Black Friday appliance sale (ran Nov 6 - Dec 5) but they started running out of product less than 10 days into the sale. p-ss-d off customers now being told that their items are not anticipated to be back in stock till late Jan early Feb. WE BASICALLY HAVE NOTHING TO SELL! Already gave away the holiday season to our competition and are now having even our long time commercial customers threatening to take their business elsewhere.

WHY IS LOWE'S NOT PURCHASING PRODUCT IN SUFFICIENT QUANTITIES TO KEEP US AFLOAT AND NOT ALIENATE OUR CUSTOMERS??? This is all on top of the "new" (to us at least) third party delivery service, Sterling miss routing and cross dock issues we are experiencing. Lowe's has already given away the J.D.Power appliance retailer customer satisfaction high score to Best Buy and will likely be giving away our No.1 appliance retailer status (total sales) at this rate. That's what happens when the No.1 appliance retailer attempts to poorly emulate the No.2 appliance retailer's methods.

With all these issues I have never had to work so hard to sell so little. Confident corporate won't take any responsibility and will blame it on all on the sales staff. Certainly not expecting an apology in a pod cast but what they should be concerned about is what effect all this is having on our customers. Hard to win back customers when you dis them this badly.

Amazon is buying Lowe's. Stores will be local distribution / pickup zones.

Bezos has been wanting to get into this market. Amazon is bigger, and now beats Home Depot.

It sure looks like they are going out of business, the local store is filthy, the bathrooms are disgusting. Never seen a retail store in such sad shape, except maybe in an inner city store in a really bad neighborhood. No other store in town looks like this, and it did not look that way until recently. The new ceo is obviously running it to the ground.
