Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

I am a vcm and I, too, work my tail off. I treat it as my own business and there is very, very little support from Div1 or MHWD. Before covid hit we were doing very well. I hold my associates accountable and train as we go. We celebrate success. I am proud of what we do and love to see happy patients. Also have a great doctor. Thought the idea is to build on H & W not bring us down. Then again, it is up to everyone to apply themselves to have a clean, well stocked, knowledgeable VC. It takes a team.

They need to make a change! As a VCM I bust my a– to take care of patients and my opticians. I also help out my fellow VCMS when they need it. MHWD are useless they know nothing about vision and Div 1 Management are no help either. I run my business(vision center) and the Doctor’s business with no help or support from my senior leadership team for extremely low pay!

Good, most VCMs in my area come in, do paperwork, sit around, don't help and then cut hours at the end of the year to get their big fat bonus that the opticians worked for. I've heard a lot of my optical friends complaints about this. They should run multiple stores, make them get off their butts and work!!
