Word is Hiland Dairy from Omaha,Nebraska is in talks of a merger/takeover bid to acquire all assets of Dean Foods North Central/Land O Lakes division if a Chapter 7 occurs.

Current ask is $18.25 million per plant to acquire.
The reason Dean Foods Le Mars LOST that school bid to Hiland to begin with is because the crates and cartons of school milk were LEAKY and FILTHY with grease.
Where there’s smoke. There is fire. Hiland Omaha had Dean Foods Le Mars school milk contract a few years back even though Deans Milk Plant was literally 2 blocks from Le Mars Community school main kitchen complex. And Omaha was an hour and half from Le Mars.
