If they can find a way to get rid of you without giving you a severance they'll do it. They did it to me.
Not sure if this will make anyone feel better but getting laid off from Viacom was basically one of the best things that ever happened to me. I got enough severance to do what I wanted for 4 months even though I only took advantage of two of those months because I got a job I really wanted more quickly than I expected. I miss the people I worked with although many of them are gone as well and I miss how Viacom was when things were good but I don't envy you all sitting and waiting to know what will happen with you. The best thing you can do is make sure your resume looks good and updated and set your linked in setting to be open to opportunities. Good luck everyone who is going and everyone who is staying!
Tick-Tock. Tick-Tock.
In a way I hope I get laid off asap. CBS is a toxic cesspool and I'm tired of wondering constantly WHEN my time will be.
