Chevron authorizes $5.7 billion to proceed with Anchor Project development in deep water GOM. Located 140 miles SW offshore Louisiana in Green Canyon. Lots of layoffs needed to help with that cost. Expected to be online in 2024.

As long as JarJar Binks and the rest of the Koolaid drinking “leaders” do not allow Anchor to be the dumping grounds for all the lazy FGP managers...like FGP was for all the knee-jockeys who escaped their deserved severance last layoffs!

Just saw the FGP Korea modules. What a disaster? Looks like some of the modules are 70 percent air and 30 percent equipment. No wonder their so expensive and module count so high. Well done chevron prc module team
I have always wondered what happened to the few million the city of Houston gave chevron to build that building next to 1500 Louisiana. What a rip off. Then chevron got that 1b from the lost deal and no jobs were brought to Houston either. Looks like this company only pays theirs VIPS and forgets about others

Anchor may turn out ominously to be the infamous name of this new venture that sends Chevron to the depths of the GOM waters alongside the Bigfoot tendons and Petronius topside. God, I hope not, but my faith in recent CVX project executions has me nervous.

Anchor is going to be a S-show. It require a new rig with a 20K system. That rig will have all kinds of Fd up problems. I bet 50+ % NPT.
i think the opposite. People can be shuffled to Anchor so no layoffs are needed any more.
